
My Mom would bake these poke cakes
and we thought she was the best, most creative baker. Well now we all
know... These Retro cakes are making a comeback! This recipe by Betty Crocker is exactly how my Mom made it.
- 1 box Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ white cake mix
- Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box
- 1 box (4-serving size)strawberry-flavored gelatin (Or any Any flavor)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed (3 cups)
- Fresh strawberries if using strawberry - you can use raspberries, if desired
