God rest her soul - my sister introduced me to these cookies back in the 1980's. Back then with 3 little boys, I was always searching for a good homemade cookie since I made all their lunch and snacks from scratch.
Honestly, these cookies are too good for the kids. They do melt in your mouth and make a mess with the kids. They don't hold up to school lunches.
However, they are the BEST.
I'm so happy I didn't lose this recipe.
*Note - so many of the recipes back then used margarine which I don't use anymore. I plan to use butter and will make a correction if it didn't turn out.
